Sea Foam in Ford Ranger (Australia) diesel [SOLVED]
Asked by David K. In
Can I add Sea Foam to my oil on a diesel engine that runs a DPF ? Also wanting to clean the intake. Vehicle is a 2018 3.2L 5 cylinder Ford Ranger (Australia).
Hi David. A few things: 1) Sea Foam can be added to ANY gas or diesel motor oil, so that’s an easy yes. Additionally, whether a diesel has a DPF is not a factor. 2) Adding Sea Foam to the oil won’t do anything to clean the intake. 3) If you meant another product, Sea Foam does not make a product that can be used to clean a diesel intake. Important to note that Sea Foam Spray is for cleaning gasoline intakes only. Hope this helps!
