Can I use Sea Foam to help with oil burning before my next oil change? [SOLVED]
Asked by Parth P. In Massachusetts
Hi guys! My car loses a quart of oil every 100 miles from tailpipe. Can I use Sea Foam when I do my next oil change? If yes, then how can I do that? Thank you!
Hi Parth! If the oil burning is caused by buildup, Sea Foam will help. That said, that is a lot of oil, so there may be other causes (see the article linked at the end).
I’d recommend using Sea Foam High Mileage. It’s a strong formula that’ll work great to clean up your oil crankcase. Add 1 ounce of High Mileage per quart of oil in your crankcase about 300 miles before your next oil change. Add it before every oil change and it will progressively clean away any buildup. Here’s a detailed post about oil burning and more instructions…definitely worth a shot and will clean up your crankcase either way. Hope that helps and let us know if you have any more questions!!
