Overfilling transmission with Trans Tune? [SOLVED]
Asked by Bill C. In Florida
Is there a danger in over filling the transmission if I add a full can of Trans Tune? In other words, if the existing transmission fluid is full, is it okay to dump the entire can of Trans Tune in there as well or do I need to drain some trans fluid out first?
Thanks for the question, Bill. We get asked about this a lot. As long as the transmission isn’t overfilled, you can add a whole can of Trans Tune without worry. Some people remove 16oz with a turkey baster for peace of mind, but your transmission has plenty of capacity for a can of Trans Tune as long as it isn’t overfilled already.
