Hi Howard,

Yes, all Sea Foam products would be safe in your 2000 Chevy Silverado. Sea Foam Motor Treatment is made with 100% safe petroleum cleaning and lubricating ingredients (along with the rest of the products). Here’s a quick overview of what you could do:

  • Sea Foam High Mileage (or Motor Treatment) in your gas tank and oil crankcase. In the gas tank, wait until you’ve got a low tank (1/8 or less). Then add a full can of Sea Foam, and drive until almost empty before refueling. That will do a great job cleaning up the fuel system and critical engine areas. In oil, add 1 oz per quart of oil 100-300 miles before your next oil change. You can use either High Mileage or Motor Treatment in the oil.
  • Sea Foam Spray through the intake. More info here.
  • Trans Tune in the transmission fluid. More info here.

Hope that helps and let us know what happens!
