In fuel: yes, you can add a whole can! For cleaning, it’s best to wait until your fuel tank is low and then add a whole can of Sea Foam. Then, drive at least 20 miles before refueling to give it a chance to clean. You don’t have to be very precise with measurements when adding it to fuel.
In oil: add 1 ounce of Sea Foam per quart of oil (30 mL of Sea Foam per Liter of oil) in the crankcase. Make sure to follow that ratio when adding to oil.
If you’ve got a 16 oz can, adding 1/3 of a can to the oil and pouring the rest of the can in the fuel tank is a great way to use it.
We recommend adding Sea Foam to fuel every 3,000-5,000 miles.
In oil, add Sea Foam 100-300 miles before your next oil change. Do not exceed one Sea Foam treatment per oil interval (that is, don’t add more than 1 oz of Sea Foam per quart of oil in the crankcase).
