Adding Sea Foam to my 2010 Prius engine oil [SOLVED]
Asked by Ray P. In Colorado
Hi Jim: Using Sea Foam part number SF16. Have a 2010 Prius 1.8-liter with just under 200K. Being that it uses 20/0 weight synthetic oil are there any precautions to adding this product to the oil? I have three trucks I use Sea Foam in but those are the old 10/40 weights.
Thanks,
Ray
Thanks for the questions, Ray. Sea Foam can be added to ANY gas or diesel motor oil and will not cause any adverse effect in the oil. For your Prius, just eyeball one-third to half a can every interval to liquefy harmful varnish and heavier deposits. Thanks for using Sea Foam!
