After I add 1 oz of Sea Foam to my 2017 60 hp Honda outboard motor oil, how long should I run the motor on the lake or on land before changing the oil?
Thank you.
Hi Stephen. First, you’re going to want to add at least 1 ounce per quart of oil in your outboard’s crankcase. I would think that the engine capacity is around 3 to 4 quarts of oil. As far as running time, figure a minimum of one engine hour of running to allow the Sea Foam enough time to circulate and clean. You could also use Marine PRO. Hope this helps!
